Greek Mythology of Atlas
In Greek mythology, Atlas was the son of the Unlike his brothers, Prometheus and Epimetheus, Atlas fought with the opposite Titans, supporting Cronos towards Zeus and main them in battle. As a consequence, he was singled out by Zeus for particular punishment and made to help the world on his again.
Atlas was briefly relieved of this burden by the hero Hercules, who wanted the Titan’s assist in getting the golden apples of the Hesperides. Hercules then tricked Atlas into taking on his burden once more.
