Out and out comedy episodes
Naveen Polishetty’s performance
Breezy first half
Prolonged second half
Without taking much time, the director introduces the main characters – Srikant, Sekhar and Ravi, and their goals and their problems, and takes its from their initial place, Jogipet to where they moved to, Hyderabad. The storyline happens to be thin and just hit the point.
The movie provides fun and is breezy in the first half providing comedies along the line to entertain the audience.
Anudeep establishes a madcap entertainer at the beginning of the first half encouraging the audience not to expect logic or reason while enjoying the fun in the movie. He handles a lot of scenes with a lot of confidence.
Srikant had a terrific screen time and shows so much ease in acting especially after nailing Agent Srinivas Athreya’s role perfectly, he plays into the character of a small-town guy without stress. This film is entirely his show . His comic timing is gracious.
Thanks to the main actors and their humour and also the characters that keep coming in, the situations that happens, the movie keep going in a fun and entertaining direction. The fun just doesn’t go away. The first half ended on a good note.
The various characters did a good job in portraying the comedy and fun in this movie even though it was lengthy.
The production team seem to be intoxicated with their one-liners and comic writing so much so that they left out cutting down the runtime. The pace crawls slow through the second half but the final moments happen to save it.
Altogether, “Jathi Ratnalu” is a movie with enormous comedy and funny sequence. Though it lacks logic and is stretched in the second half, the comedy in it is entertaining.
Bottom-line: Comedy Thopu
