The beautiful singer was very elated with this rare award and she obviously couldn’t contain her excitement. Yemi has sure attained a greater feat with this and her name is now in the Google book of records.
The Google Gold Play Button plaque isn’t an award one easily receives or comes by, it is something you work hard for with years of achievements and breakthroughs.
Yemi Alade becoming the first black woman to be honored with this award, beating several other great black women in the entertainment industry including the likes of Tiwa Savage and many others comes as a great privilege and honor. She obviously worked hard for it and got the reward for her hardwork.
The music diva has succeeded in penetrating every country on the African continent with her music which was why she was nicknamed ‘mama Africa’ and she has never disappointed.
We wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors and we also wish her greater heights and achievements in her career. Kindly share your comments on this below.
